Devil's Fork State Park Information

Located along the southwestern shore of Lake Jocassee, this park provides outdoor recreation amid the beauty of the Blue Ridge at the Jocassee Gorges.

Lakefront camping, hiking and picnicking are among some of the favorite activities, along with vacationing in the park's contemporary mountain villas.

The park provides access to the cool deep waters of the Jocassee, where anglers try their luck for trout and other species, and boaters drive to remote islands or sites of waterfalls spilling into the lake.

Pets: Pets are not allowed in the villas or the villa areas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet.

Driving Directions:
From I-85 at the GA line: Take exit 1 to Hwy 11 for approx. 40 miles, turn left on Jocassee Lake Rd, and travel 3 mi.

From I-85 at the NC line: Travel south to Hwy 11 exit at Gaffney and proceed on Hwy 11 for approx. 90 miles, turn right on Jocassee Lk. Rd and travel 3 miles.

From I-26: Take exit 5 onto Hwy 11 to Campobello. Travel for approximately 60 mi. Turn rt. on Lake Jocassee Rd., and travel 3 mi.

LODGING

Lodging Information: Each villa includes linens, basic cooking and eating utensils, heat, air conditioning, microwave, color television, automatic coffee maker, screened porch, outside grill and picnic table.

Two 2-bedroom villas are user friendly for the physically impaired.

Pets are not permitted in villas or villa areas.
Reservations: To make a cabin reservation, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or make it online by clicking Park Reservation.

Reservations requested less than three (3) days in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park.

For example: If today is Wednesday and you are making a reservation for the upcoming Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.
Two Bedroom Cabin/Villa: Fifteen 2-bedroom/1-bath villas accommodate up to 6 people each, and include a queen bed, two single beds and a fold out sofa bed in the living room.

The 2-bedroom villa rates range from $104 to $130/night.

Three Bedroom Cabin/Villa: Five 3-bedroom/2-bath villas accommodate up to 10 people, and includes a queen bed in two of the bedrooms, two sets of bunk beds in the third bedroom and a fold-out sofa in the living room.

The three-bedroom nightly rate is $137-172/night;

Camping Information: Two campgrounds are located near the shores of Lake Jocassee.

Restrooms with hot showers are conveniently located in the campgrounds.

Camping Reservations Accepted: To make a camping reservation, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or make it online by clicking Park Reservation.

Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights.

#Sites with Elec. & Water: The main lakeside campground at Devils Fork State Park features 59 paved sites with water and electrical hook-ups. Some of these sites accommodate RVs up to 36 feet.

These sites rent for $18-20/site/night.

#Designated Tent Sites: While tent campers may use the sites with water and electrical hookups, a designated walk-in tent camping area includes 25 elevated tent pads (tent must fit inside the 12' X 12' pad), grill pits and centralized water.

Backcountry Camping: Boat-in backcountry campsites are located on the northern shore of Lake Jocassee at the base of Musterground Mountain. The area is accessible only by boat and is open year-round. Combination fire rings/grill pits are provided. Registration for these sites is required on site. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please remember if you pack it in, pack it out.
